The Reason I Din't Write Here in The Last 347 Days

Yep, has been a while. We have so much to catch up on, so let's start right away. In the last 347 days I:

  • Got a new job;
  • Ate oysters for the first time and found them overrated;
  • Visited my dear cousin in the US for a couple of hours;
  • Moved to a new country — Now I live in Tallinn, Estonia;

  • Started at my new job;
  • Became Auntie Paola;
  • Traveled to Finland for the first time;
  • Watched a latte art contest;
  • Received a friend visiting my new home;
  • Saw snow for the first time in my life;
  • Traveled by train for the first time;
  • Visited Santa in the Arctic Circle;

  • Traveled back to Brazil for the first since I left;
  • Hold my niece in my arms;
  • Spent two amazing months of summer in Brazil with the people I love the most;

  • Went back home to Estonia for more winter and snow;
  • Visited Riga in Latvia;
  • Discovered my personal colour palette;
  • Saw a little bit of northern lights here in Tallinn;
  • Finished watching all seasons of Modern Family.

If I was feeling pretentious I could say I didn't write here for the past year because I was living the life. But was it really?

Or was it because I didn't prioritize? Because I stopped and soon enough it was so long ago to pick up the habit again. Because I felt awkward to come back, it always feels awkward to get back to things, doesn't it?

Truth is: yep I had a lot to do and much to handle in the last 347 days, but during this period I thought about writing here so many times. I've scratched some drafts but it never felt right. Today it feels.

I read today that even inaction is a decision, and among other reflections that happened during my day, today I decided to act again and write again.

So get ready, I have so much to tell!
